1. Eat, drink and eat more...
Spaniards love good food and they do this no less than five times a day! Eating and cooking is an important part of the culture and daily life. And then again, Spain has one of the best cuisines in the world! In Jávea and the surrounding areas, the different restaurants are flying by the ears .... There are lots of nice places, cool restaurants, and trendy hotspots and they are very affordable too!
2. Go golfing and enjoy the beautiful views
Jávea and the surrounding towns have beautiful golf courses of different levels. Experienced golfers can certainly spend some time here and even the beginners can play a round! The golf courses differ in the number of holes that can be played, each with its own beautiful view of the sea, the Montgó, or the surrounding tropical trees. The golf courses that are definitely worth a visit are: Club de Golf Jávea, Club de Golf Ifach Moraira, Altea Club de Golf and La Sella Club de Golf Denia.
3. Activities in Jávea
Although Jávea may not be the biggest place you have ever visited, it is bursting with activities you can do! We highly recommend going out for a while in the beautiful surroundings. After all, Jávea is situated in the most beautiful part of the Costa Blanca, full of idyllic bays and plenty of nature. Every kilometer there is a new beautiful cala, do not forget the quiet Montgó nature reserve and finally the beautiful, rich underwater world. Because of the many rocks and clear water, the coast of Jávea is also beautiful under water. Perfect for snorkeling or diving. Looking for a bit more adventure? 4. Fonts de L'Algar
Are you looking for a fun activity with the kids? Then you must have been at the waterfalls of Fonts L'Algar. This is super cool for young and old! Fonts de L'Algar is a waterfall that runs through the protected area of the region there. Upon arrival, you pay a fee of 5 euros for adults and 2 euros for children up to 10 years old. From here the adventure begins along the beautiful waterfall. The route is about 1.5 kilometers long where you walk along or through the river from basin to basin. You can swim everywhere, just be aware that the water can be a little cold! The path ends at the various waterfalls and it is definitely worth taking a nice picture here.
5. Hiking on the Montgó
The Montgó is not to be missed when you are in Jávea, this 753 meter high mountain is a protected nature reserve because of its great wealth of fauna and flora. There are several hiking trails from low to high difficulty. But should you be in for a bit of a bigger adventure, you might want to look into climbing to the high peak of the iconic Montgó. Do you prefer cycling? Two routes have been mapped out for cyclists as well.
6. Day trip to Valencia or Alicante
Valencia and Alicante are just over an hour away from Jávea and one or both cities are definitely worth a visit. They are two beautiful bustling cities with plenty of attractions. Tip: get a bike here and make a cycling tour along all the beautiful things the cities have to offer. End the day with a delicious restaurant and then drive back to beautiful Jávea. Or stay the night and make a mini-trip of it.
